COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

courtesy of Antonio Ruiz - cloudy dark brown beer with a solid creamy beige head; nice lace; aroma of cocoa and nuts; some sourness, medium-bodied and sweet; spicy and malty finish with a lingering sourness; pretty weird indeed

500ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. Fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing, rosewood coloured body. Modest aroma of sweet liquorice. Dark malty taste with joining aniseed and brown sugar. Dry and sweet to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Pretty straightforward for a Yuletide beer, rather too sweet (hotel room, Copenhagen 23.03.2013).

18-JAN-2012, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting, @Henrik. Brownish with lasting low tan head. Weak malty and spicy aroma. Taste is sweet malt with caramel, bread and spice. Medium body and carbonation. Standard X-mas brew.

It’s dark brown with a red hue and a fairly small head. The aroma has notes of roasted malts, cocoa, dark fruits and chocolate. The sweet flavor has notes of roasted malts, licorice, chocolate, dark fruits, burnt sugar and the finish has a spicy, yeast touch. Quite nice.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with small offwhite head. Aroma is strawberry bubblegum, licorice and mint pastel, anise . Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is medium long with notes of licorice, mint, bubblegum, citrus and white wine. Not an excellent beer but I give some extra overall points for the interesting and different licorice notes in aroma and taste.

Bottle, 6.0%. Good brown sugar aroma, spicy, aniseed. Almost clear very dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet and spicy, has a lot of aniseed. Tastes a bit of cough syrup, but not bad. The flavour seems a little watery at first, but it turns out rather well anyway. Good, soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with light tan head. Dark aroma of malt and spices, probably aniseed and cloves. Sweetish taste of malt and spices. Dryish aftertaste. Quite OK
