COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A personal favorite of mine. Skagen Bryghus is the microbrewery of what I consider my hometown (I’m Norwegian, but I have a house in Skagen, Denmark, and this is where I spent the best part of my childhood and where I’d live if I could make a living there). Rene Diget Søgaard Sørensen has created something in Skagen that makes me proud of my little town. Now, these beers may not be quite the taste bombs so may microbreweries make these days, but I still really like, especially this one and Bundgarn. This one is at first look a bit "muddy" but in a way, it reminds me of the beautiful sand on the beach of said Gl. Skagen, stirred up by the crashing ways. A good strength and an effective hop, it works together to make this a very quaffable beer, and the one I always ask for first when I go to the Bryghus on the corner of Christian X’s vej og Kirkevej.

Bottle from Magasin du Nord, Copenhagen - dark fuzzy amber pour with small off white head. Rather strange mouthfeel, hop taste/aroma kind of muddled, hard to define, with a syrupy thick caramel malt base. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle). Aroma and taste of caramel, malt, hops, some tropical fruits and alcohol. In the flavor emerges a bitterness with lots of citrus and grapefruit.

500ml bottle from vorty, huge thanx!!!
Very nice bottle design. Pours dark amber colored with flat creamy head. Smell has lots of fruity hops and tropical fruits. Starts very hoppy-fruity, bitterish, with mango, maracuja and citrus fruits. The middle part is also very fruity, with some delicious caramel malts. Goes into a caramelly and malty-bitter finish with citrussy hops.

50 cl. flaske. 6 %. Rødlig øl, flot i glasset , men en anelse for bitter til min smag
