Overraskende god.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy brownish amber with a modest white head. Mild fruity aroma with hints of sour berries, caramel and malt. Moderate to medium sweet with much less flavou than expected. Finishes lightly bitter. Medium body, slightly watery with carbonation on the soft side. Somewhat strange, but drinkable enough.

Bottle shared by the extremely generous Vestergaard. Pours a dark amber with a tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, ripe sweet fruits and weak grainy. Taste has a low amount of bitter hops, caramel malts, ripe sweeter fruits and a bready feel to it. Well. Yes. Would love to try it fresh just to see if this have had traces of hops in the aroma.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a lasting off white head. Aroma has weak hops, watery and caramel malts. Taste is slightly more hoppy and bitter. Floral, sugary sweetness and again these watery caramel malts. Not too bad though.

Dark amber to brown body with a small, beige head. Ok lacing. The moderate aroma is sweet and sugary, and is actually more malty that hoppy. There is lots of dark caramel in front of a background of overripe generic fruits. The flavour is quite strong, and again the caramel is the main contributor, which I find very odd given the fact that this is supposed to be a US IPA. In addition there are hints of generic fruits, some dark berries and anise seed in the back. The mouthfeel is pleasant though, the body is medium and the texture is nice and smooth with a moderate carbonation. A decent, sweet beer full of caramel, but calling this an IPA?
