COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Slightly hazy dark amber to brown and darker than I had expected. Smelled sweet and nutty and got a little bit of yeastiness in there as well, so much more going on than I’ve smelled in others within the style. Very clean tasting. Again sweet and nutty, a bit of fruitiness to it and roasted goodness. Very small smooth bubbles which make for excellent carbonation and fantastic mouthfeel. Really refreshing and tasty, one I could have many times during the day.

50cl bottle from Cunningham - thanks!. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Malty aroma with roasty notes, dark bread, caramel and hints of dark dried fruits and spices. Sweet and malty, but balanced and surprisingly nice. Mild but pleasant bitterness. Easty to drink and quite tasty.

Bottled@EBF 2008. Deep ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild toasted notes along with some raisins, sweet malts as well as some toffee. Flavour is rather similar, but has a quite strong hopprofile to it, giving it some grassy and herbal bitterness towards the finish.

Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, chocolate, grassy and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Looks great, with a very dark colour with a clear white head. Aroma is smoke, caramel and leather, all is a bit too weak on the nose in my opinion. Taste is very dominated by the smokeyness, some leaves and wood in there as well. Good depth to be just 5 %, that’s a really big plus here. A decent bayer for sure!
