Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2007 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown shine under a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate and roasted malt, as well as light notes of licorice. The flavor is sweet and the mouthfeel very smooth, at first with mainly chocolate notes, but in a subdued way, but then the roasted notes gains in strength with notes of coffee, and a bitterness that lingers on the palate, while a sweetness lingers on the tongue. In the aftertaste there’s also light notes of grapefruit from the hops. Quite intrigueing flavor composition. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden May 21, 2007 Bottled at Københavnske Øldage.
