truegen (132), Puyallup, Washington, USA Apr 12, 2008 22 oz. bomber. Active head on the pour, and plenty of lace all the way down the glass. Tawney red-gold color is just slightly hazy. Slightly spicy grass aroma, with just a trace of pine and citrus. Malts are a little on the sweet side for an IPA, but I think this adds some character and interest to the brew. Mouth feel is a little watery all the way across the palate. Although there is plenty of bitter here, it just doesn’t latch on. Not bad; I’d drink it again.
CaptainCougar (4599), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 16, 2008 Pours a transparent orange bronze with a clumpy off-white head. Aroma of fresh orangey grapefruity hops and lightly sweet pale malts. Body starts fairly full and caramely sweet with a nice citrusy bittering and flavor hop balance. Finishes crisp and bittersweet, a nice IPA. ABUSEDGOAT (1863), California, USA Jul 12, 2008 Amber colored. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, peach. Maybe Bavarian hops here? Maybe I just lost my mind? Either way, it’s a nice twist. Medium bodied, moderate to full bitterness. drfabulous (636), Columbia, Missouri, USA May 27, 2008 Drunk while standing up. Then we got a table. Bitter. Hoppy. Went down well. Someone else ordered something I looked down upon. I was happy with this one. redlight (1029), Winter Park, Florida, USA May 21, 2008 Apples and green raisons on the nose with hints of pine. Pours cloudy ambe with a thick white head. Very very bitter, some apple skins, not really any citrus or pine flavors just straight up bitter. There are some sweet malts in there too. It is a very enjoyable IPA. dwedin (234), Portland, Oregon, USA May 20, 2008 Strong floral, grassy, toasted grain and resin aroma. Overly bitter. Not quite balanced. A sharp, lingering bitterness at that. Nice copper appearance with a quickly diminishing head.
