3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Orange gold color. Medium to large white foamy head. Aroma is floral, fruity and sweet. A medium to full bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet, with hints of orange peel. Hops are grapefruit and citrus and piney. Fairly bitter India Pale Ale, yet there is a still a lot of malt fruit and sweetness to balance it. In other words, its most definitely a Pacific Northwest IPA! Smooth taste. The floral hops and orange donít really show up till the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
22 oz bottle . Orange copper color. 1 finger head quickly faded to nil.
Slight floral aroma. Taste is first malty sweet then a decent hop bite kicks in. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel was dull, flat.
Maybe it was just the cool skull and crossbones label but I had higher expectations of this brew.4/2004

[1497-20080617] 1pt6floz bottle. Fruity hoppy citrus aroma. Hazy, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter hops and faint citrus notes in the flavour. Medium-full body is very bitter. Solid bitter.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Drank fresh back in March 2011. This is my 200th IPA rating.
The beer pours a dark orange color with a white head. The aroma is somewhat odd. I get a lot of sugary notes. The beer smells a lot of circus peanuts with a little bit of floral notes and some butter.
The flavor is a mix of grass and butterscotch. I also get some floral notes. Even with the off notes, I get a medium amount of bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
Iím not a homebrewer so I donít know what the flaw is in this bottle, but I am sure it is not what the brewer intended it to be.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Picked up a single 22-oz bomber from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a thin off-white head. Aroma of light grapefruit zest, some flowery hops, and light caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, with a mild bitter character of flavors of tropical fruit, front yard lawn, and a touch of green vegetables. Finish has a lingering mild bitter aftertaste that is more vegetable than citrus. Though it is still considered an IPA, this one has a unique character.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had at the brewpub in Mount Vernon. Excellent IPA for a small microbrewery. Has a nice grapefruit citrusy aroma and a dark orangeish cloudy appearance with a off-white sticky head - good lacing. Has a snappy, tangy cascade induced hoppy flavor. Excellent, thick mouthfeel. Wished I had time to stay for another but they were closing up shop for the night.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at The Taphouse, pours a clear copper. Aroma of hops, citrus, and caramel malt. Flavour follows, with a dry palate. Quite good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Citrus hops are apparent as a complement to the toffee, cereal, grainy and caramel malty notes in the nose. Clear deep copper coloured body is topped by a ow, off white head that recedes to a partial cover with some lacing. Flavour follows the aroma - sweet and grainy with offsetting hop notes. Seems less like an IPA than a very strong bitter. Perhaps my bottle was on the shelf a while? The hops just donít seem to carry through. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature Bottle.

This was a dark oragne colored IPA with a white head that was every nice. Good brewing on this beer. There was a great flavor and the hops added tot he overall impression. I did get a strong flavor at the end but a deep fired fish would take care of that. A very good brew and a great time drinking.
