A Mes rate. Bottle in the apartment in Copenhagen.
Sim went to the shops and came back with rates. Granted, not good ones, but rates all the same. Hazy amber brown with a big off white head that vanishes qucker than it forms. Bit of a fail. Malt and card and some dust. Thick sickly malt actually. Little hops to speak of, other than a faint bitterness in the finish. Faint spice and metal too. Blah. It’s perfectly drinkable. Just not particularly good.

Sampled with the boys. Murky dark brown look with no head, almost. Sleightly candy sweet aroma, but mostly its just regular pale larger hop, malt combination. Flavor has the bitterness of standart eu hops and a light caramel and fruity sweetness. Its ok enjoyable, the style can just do incredible much more. In generel good belgian ales brewed outside belgium are hard to find.

Murky brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dried fruit, light yeasty and rather spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and so is the finish. It feels like a watered down Chimay Bleu, and why brew such a beer? 161010

500 ml bottle. Copenhagen, Denmark.
Slightly cloudy amber colour with small white head. Sugary sweet Belgian yeast like malty aroma without real Belgian yeast. Flavour is messy mixture of sweet maltiness, sugar, yeast and raisins. Not that good imitation of Belgian Ale.

500 ml bottle. Thanks Timo A.
Pours a brown colour with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry jam, banana and strong Belgian yeast. Flavour of grainy malts, strawberries, nuts, yeast and harsh bitterness. Light bodied, rough mouthfeel and a malty, bitter and berryish finish. Decent but unbalanced.

Draught @ Ølfestival Aarhus 2008.
Unclear amber color with a average, creamy, fair lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dusty, fruity, cellar, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (160508)

Bottle @ Kolding Vinhandel.
Pours a deep red-brown with a good, creamy, off-white head. Becomes a thin film rather quickly. Aroma is spicy and a bit tart, som raisins, plums and yeast. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit tart, some oud bruin notes (but not in a terribly good way). Plums again, rather sweet finish and some yeasty off-flavours. Ikke particularly good.

(On tap) Pours a hazy, muddy orangey brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, fruit and a little yeast. Medium body with a little sweet fruit. No bitterness. No thrill. 140908
