COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Egtvedpigen blev begravet i bronzealderen for knapt 3500 år siden. Hun fik en lille birkebarksspand med en gæret drik med i graven. Drikken var en slags øl lavet af hvede, tyttebær eller tranebær, porse og honning.

Small white head. Hazy deep yellow body. Faintly mealy honeyish aroma. Dry mealy lingonberry taste with spicy notes. Thinnish mouthfeel. Sharpish, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish lingonberry and flour aftertaste with wooden lime notes. Touches of melon, too. It’s odd, but not very good, without being technically flawed in any way. (0.5l bottle, DFDS ferry Oslo-Copenhagen.)

Bottle. Weak aroma of citrus and herps. Unclear yellow colour with White head. Flavour definately not strong, but somehow fermented - which could be exoected, when taken from a grave.

Bottle from my students - thank you! :-) Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops and orange peel and a touch of berries of honey. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish notes of malt and yeast and touches of fruit. Bitterish and estery aftertaste. Low carbonation. Rather watery. Acceptable.

Aroma has a lot of honey and caramel. Pours hazy yellow with a small head that leaves some lacing. Taste has medium bitterness, light sweetness. Some peppery spices and a lot of bready maltiness. Some honey. Light bodied with average carbonation. Malty finish with some sweet honey.

Copenhagen 11/12 2014. 50 cl bottle from Irma. Pours slightly hazy gold with white head. Disappears to thin lacing fairly fast. Medium high carbonation. Taste is citrus fruit and sweetness - a bit Watery. A bit like a Watery lemonade.

I was surprised to see the low rating this beer has gotten on ratebeer. After reading the label and how Skands tried to recreate the brew Egtvedpigen was buried with using ancient ingredients, I didn’t expect such a tasty result. I find the taste very refreshing and I really like the mild peachy/apricot-like sweetness. I think the hazy peachy color is really nice. It doesn’t have much aroma except some honey though. But again: I was very positively surprised by the nice fresh taste, and I think I will be buying this beer again for situations requiring a nice tasting fresh beer.

Bottle at Cinemateket - Wundergrund. Clear yellow/golden - white head. Sweetness. Grainy. Fruity. Light hay. Zesty notes. A bit bland. Too sweet.

50cl bottle i think from irma. cloudy yellow, large fine white head, that looks a bit artificial.dusty hoppy wheaty aroma. euro hops. herbal notes. berries and honey is probably what i get, it comes off as herbally bitter. Flavor is honey, malts, berries. not as delicate as an ordinary wheat, and not a beer to die for at all.
