Danish: Egtvedpigen blev begravet i bronzealderen for knapt 3500 år siden. Hun fik en lille birkebarksspand med en gæret drik med i graven. Drikken var en slags øl lavet af hvede, tyttebær eller tranebær, porse og honning.

500ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. Misty grey-golden coloured body. Chalk white head that stayed well for a while. Berries, wheat and grain on the nose. Blended flavour character of honey, dough, and mid-dry red berries. Bittersweet aftertaste. Medium bodied. Smooth on the swallow. On an average level, more or less (shared with djoeye and Finn, Bokhuset, Tromsø 10.09.2014).

Kindly shared by Rune; big head on a grey beige golden hazy body. Lots of fruits to the nose, peel, berries, leather, bread and flowers in aroma. Tastes fruit peel, lingonberries, white bread, hay, grass, wort, syrup - and finishes fruity with berries. Nice and smooth. This beer taste reflects the story of Egtvedpigen. Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with a small, off-white head. Interesting berry- and melon aroma. Medium body, dry and slightly tart, some cardboard, but again this berry character dominating. Not too shabby really, interesting. 040914

15-AUG-2014, bottle @home, form Irma. Murky orange with a huge, creamy lasting, lacing, white head. Aroma is herbal and wheat’y. Taste the same with some orange peel. Creamy, medium body, soft carbonation. Too herbal for me but otherwise fine.

Yes! Yes! Yes, yes yes! The first beer of this year’s summer vacation! In the glass it looks... cold. Very cold. The staff at this DFDS ferry certainly knows how to use a fridge. The body (of the beer, not the staff) is cloudy, with an orange to yellow colour. The white head has fun pink tint and it laces the glass well. Moderate aroma of sweet raspberries, or rather raspberry candy. It’s also quite herbal, without me being able to pinpoint exactly which herbs. There is also sweet honey in the mix, and I’m not able to detect any tartness from the lingonberries. The flavour is a bit faint and boring with fruity hints plus the other elements from the aroma in homeopathic levels. Light sweet, light acidic and light bitter taste. Not exactly full-bodied, quite watery texture, moderate carbonation and light dry finish. Not one of Skands’ best beers (and that says a lot).
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 10 months before BB date, enjoyed in my Commodore Suite on board DFDS Crown Seaways somewhere between Oslo and Copenhagen. Oh yeah.]

A hazy yellow pour, topped by a mid-sized blond head. Light toasted malt aroma with hint of honey, red berries and yeast. Light to medium full. Taste is on the sweet side, evenly fruity and malty. Modest bitterness, sweet honey-fruity ending [0,25 l bottle at Crown Seaways]
