2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 n00bface (137) - Minneapolis, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle from duty free shop on DFDS cruise (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Pours a deep clear amber color. Minimal off-white head that leaves a thin lace on the glass. Aroma of cereal, herbs, spruce, and a little bit of citrus, but still not as complex as it reads on paper. Texture is pretty thin. This is the best that I’ve had from Skands, but I’m still not impressed.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 snzcujo (274) - RUSSIA - NOV 25, 2012
Tasted from the bottle, on 20/11/2012.
Pours of lovely super dark brown, with a huge creamy beige head.
Aroma is a bit sour, then caramely sweet, not very complex, but quite intense.
Mouthfeel is delicious, medium-to-full bodied and proper carbonated.
Taste is lovely sweet, quite bready, raisins and dark fruits in the end.
Aftertaste is quite long and tasty.
Dont like Belgium style ales at all, but this is - definitely
Recommended.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 20, 2012
Hazy, dark brown body with a small, frothy, off-white head that leaves some lacing on the glass. A very special, interesting and pleasant moderate to strong aroma with strong herbal and spicy notes: juniper is obvious, so is nutmeg. I also get sweet notes of dark dried fruits, cough syrup, pine needles, flowers and cola. Fun stuff! Moderate+ sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate bitter finish with lots of herbs. The herb mix actually reminds me of a Jägermeister, how unusual but very tasty! Also liquorice, alcohol and anis. Medium body, pleasant smooth oily texture and a medium to soft carbonation. I really enjoyed this one, even if it’s pretty close to being a bit too special.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - JUN 17, 2012
Deep amber colour with a tan head. Smells like my herb garden. Juniper maybee the strongest note. What a lovely and fresh herbal ale. Have to buy some and put them in the basement for some good occasions. Lovely fruity and herbal flavour. Perfect for meat meals. The juniper comes forward a lot in the flavour. {Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Fredrikstad, Norway]
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Diogène (1051) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 5, 2012
Bouteille.
