Bottle. Pours a clear and dark copper beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and spices, The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer with a high level of spices.

Pours a brown colour with a small white head on the edges. Aroma of sweet toasted malts, syrup and nuts. Flavour of sweet toasted malts, spices, brown sugar, ripe fruits, vegetables and some weak bitter hops. Medium bodied, thick and somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Burning alcohol finish with sweetness. Homebrewish.

Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy dark brown woith a creamy light brown head. Aroma of malt, spice, cinnamon, spruce. Flavor is malt, light chocolate, cinnamon, light citrusly, spruce. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. 100213

Clear orange brown with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel, malty and very spicy. Flavor is rather sweet and light bitter. Sweet and spicy finish. Too spicy. Not nearly as good as the original from Brøckhouse. Skands should really stay away from copying other beers, whether they do it as a tribute or for some other reason. Their copy of Chimay Bleu resembled the original but was poorer in every aspect, and where’s the point in that? Again this beer resemles Brøckhouse’s version, but is just poorer in every aspect. 231010

Bottled. Burgundy coloured. Light brown head. Aroma of burnt sugar, fruits and spice. Flavour of stearin, sugar, fruits and light grape. Medium bodied. Has a grapish somewhat steril end. Quite boring.

Sample at DBF 2011. Clear orange-brown with an off-white head. Aroma moderate+ malty (caramel, roasted) and quite spicy (star anise etc.). Flavor moderate sweet, heavy spicy. Solid body. Overly spiced.

Flaske 0,5l på DFDS "Queen of Scandinavia" mellom Oslo og København 18 Feb 10. Dyp rød på farge. Kraftig aroma av bær & frukt. Høyt luftig skum som flater ut. Smaken er som sukkertøy. Dette inntrykket holder seg gjennom resten av smaksbildet. En touch av einer i avslutningen.
