Bottle from tfredvik, thanks man! :-) Pours a deep clear golden body with a tiny fragment of a white head. Nose is grains, syrup, higher alcohols, booze and hints of maize. Taste is syrupy grainy notes, nuts, straw, alcohol and hints of honey and burnt sugar. Medium, oily body, soft carbonation. A bit sticky and slightly boozy, but not the worst strong pale lager I’ve had.

Appearance: Light unclear deep golden color with a white head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Deep caramel malty and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Deep malty, mild hoppy and a bit fruity.
Overall impression: Drinkable. Not the worst strong lager I have had.
Personal stats: 0,25cl bottle as Skands Sjøben. Gift from tfredvik. Probably from the minibar in cabin 9118, DFDS Crown Seaways

Klar, kobberfarget. Tynt skum som henger godt på glasset. Lukter malt, blomster, humle og litt søtlig. Lite kullsyre. Medium bitter ettersmak. Ganske ordinær, som en vanlig lager.

Orange klar med lite hvitt skum. Malt, kornete blomsterlukt. Søt karamellsmaken kommer selv om jeg ikke kjente noe av den i lukten. Lite kullsyre perler, men kjenner kullsyra bedre i munnen. Kort ettersmak.

Klar kobberfarget med tynt hvitt skum som henger i glassveggen. Lukter malt og korn. tynn, lettdrikkelig og minner om en vanlig lager.

0.5l bottle as a gift from my parents-in-law (as Sjøben). It looks pretty good this, light cloudy in the glass, dark orange in color and it has a nice medium sized light beige top that’s leaving some big blondes down the sides of the glass. On the nose it has a pilsner malty base, a little bit of a grassy bitterness and a good amount of sweetness also. Definitely not meant to go in a fruity direction this, but it smells alright. Tastes quite alright also. Surprisingly easy to drink. It has a nice oily mouthfeel with a almost creamy average carbonation level. Again lots of pilsner malt, some alcohol shines through. As does hints of lime and corn. Ends with a mild almost metallic bitterness, but I mean that in the best way possible. Drinkable but nothing to special really. Big thanks for the bottle though! 11.09.2013
