Kaffe, choklad, karamell är smaker från malten i detta mörka öl av traditionell portertyp. Malten balanseras med smak och doft från klassiska brittiska humlesorter. Chokladtårtans bästa vän.

Bottle at Williams Pub, Uppsala. A black color and a medium white head. Aroma is roasty and chocolaty with a note of coffee - very malty, nice. Taste is sweetish in the beginning with chocolaty maltiness promiment. Hoppiness is quite mild but that’s understandable in a porter, especially with an abv as low as 5 %. Light to medium body. Flavours were surprisingly strong in this porter, I enjoyed it despite it’s slightly light body.

Bottle @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of caramel. Sweetish, malty aroma, with roasty and fruity notes. Medium to high carbonation. Roasty and sweetish aftertaste. Not bad!

Ernest (6151) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Bottle at Oliver Twist. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, coffee, bitter chocolate), with notes of tar. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Pretty solid...a bit one-dimensional (roast/coffee), but no off notes, nicely balanced, and thankfully not sour. Good for mindless quaffing.

Doft av knäckebröd och svag ton av äpple. Rostad och lagom torr. Viss strävhet. Hälig porter som säkert mår bra av något års lagring.

Bottle - 500ml. Pours an opaque black body with a thin beige creamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with roasted cereals hints. Its well balanced taste carries roasty and subtle chocolate notes. Ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish. Good Porter.
