Cask (Akkurat, Sweden)
A super english bitter aroma - a little bit of good roasty malts, and a gorgeous gentle hoppy aroma. Mellow and mild, but not lacking. So British, dry and woody and nutty hops. A good English bitter or ESB. In fact a great English ESB. Super attenuation, lovely and drinkability. After we’d completed ticking here, I went straight back to this to have a whole pint, it was superb. And that pint looked stunning, it was a work of art. It may have been just a "boring brown", but it had perfect clarity, and the head was large and spongy, and most importantly it remained for the whole pint.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 28 Aug 2012) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, apricots, biscuity malt and fresh hops. Fruity, slightly malty taste with biscuits, toast, orange, apricots and hints of grapefruit in a finish with a refreshing bitterness. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Very tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Hazy golden to amber color, white head. Malty sweet, hoppy hebal bitter, also fruity taste. Some grapefruit and citrus zest aftertaste. Some bitter pith lingering bitterness. Medium mouthfeel with sort of low co2, easy drinking. Fruity, esters, herbal, hoppy scent. Summing up to be a fairly bitter brew with easy drinking capabilities, nice.

On tap at Akkurat. It poured an almost clear golden liquid with a white head. Flowery and very brittish taste and smell. I got a bit nostalgic as this beer reminded me of some of the great beers I had back when I was 18 and visited England for the first time. Great cask bitter by Skebo once again.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear brownish amber. Floral hoppy nose. Dry with light-medium body and soft, firm mouthfeel. Mildly roasty and grainy, interesting spicy floral hops that lead to a long, pleasant bitter finish. Skebo shows once again that they are Scandinavias top brewer of bitters.
