3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Draught) Pours orange brown with a creamy off-white head. The aroma holds spicy, earthy, orange-ish and light floral hops alongside bready and cookie-like malt. Undertones of light fruity esters, gunpowder and ash as well as a hint of crisp bread. The flavour is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of earth, spices, oranges and bread. The mouthfeel is very clean with a medium carbonation. Light resinous, citric and earthy finish. Light to medium bodied.

Tap. Medium amber unclear body. Nice small white head. Very good fresh aroma of sweet fruits, canned peach and grape. Some nice hops at first, fruity and fine, then bitter and dry. Maybe too little carbonation. Fine light bitter finish. (Bishop Arms Kunsportavenyn, Göteborg, 16.10.09)

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
It poured a clear golden liquid with no foam. Weak smell of malt and bread. Smooth mouthfeel and very easy to drink. Tasted of malt and grassy hops. Can imagine it working well on a hot summer day.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy pale amber, small creamy head.Intesne sweaty hay aroma. Medium bodied with soft, chewy malt coveredin generous amounts of hay. The bitterness is marked but well intergrated. There is no edges at all, just awonderfully quaffable mildly warming ale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at The Rover, Göteborg.
Pale copper colour with dense head. Light floral hops along with a touch of fruitiness in aroma. Very clean here. Flavour is more pronounced, with butterscotch and caramel. Not very hopped in flavour. Elegant at first with a dash of dark (that might be some darker malt). Medium bitter, but the finish is a bit papery and harsh. The papery bitterness lasts longer than necessary I’m afraid.

Draught at The Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Shady amber, medium creamy off-white head. Bready malt aroma with floral and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Mild lingering bitterness. Quite good. But English Strong Ale? I think not.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at The Rover, Göteborg, on September 12, 2009
Luckily they got this to Göteborg as well, since I can’t go to the 2009 SMÖF
Slight bit hazy pale copper color, dense off-white head. Nice fruity, hoppy, bitter taste with a long hoppy finish. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness. Mellow hoppy scent.
For me the taste was excellent, but more focus could have been paid to the scent as well, since it now got lost a bit. Still a very nice and highly drinkable beer that should please most festival visitors, well done!
