Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available filtered in bottle.
Previously called Summer Blonde.
A combination of the highest quality wheat malt and British and American hops makes this lightly coloured wheat beer deceptively easy to drink with a superb citrus finish.

Cask conditioned Handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A blonde coloured beer with a whitish head. A slightly sweet aroma with hints of honey. Some oranges in the mouth with yet again a honey sweetness. A reasonable beer with good length but the sweetness is a little off putting.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, oranges, and fruity yeasty notes as well as an acidic edge. The flavor is acidic with light notes of malt, flowers, and honey, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Queens Head, Chelmsford. Bright citric hoppy aroma with some very faint peaty notes. Very clean mid gold with a thin white head that lasts reasonably well. Lovely creamy bitter hoppage in the mouth. Very grassy and floral. Slight bacon in the finish. Interesting and enjoyable. Certainly one of the better beers from this brewer.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheaty, citric, light buttery. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (220808)

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Slightly hazy pale golden with a small, rough, off-white head. Light citrus accents in the nose. Light body with lightly sweet malts, some fruit and a dry and lightly bitter finish. 220808

Cask at the new crown. Aroma is pale buttery malts, yeasty fruity character. Taste is similar with grassy hops. Boring.
