Previously called Summer Blonde.
A combination of the highest quality wheat malt and British and American hops makes this lightly coloured wheat beer deceptively easy to drink with a superb citrus finish.

[WARNING: the beer I sampled was on sale because it was approaching its "best by" expiration date. I don't know if fresher bottle may have tasted different.] Light orange colour, slightly cloudy. Short head, no carbonation. Fresh aroma - citrus and hops. Taste is lightly sweet (white grapes); hops reappear in the finish. Anyway, the body is a bit too watery for these flavors to be fully appreciated.

Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton (27/07/05). Despite a recent refurbishment at this JDW they are up to their old trick of running cask lines through the lager chiller, personally I dont like my beers that cold even lagers, but anyway. Zesty hops, yeast and a light fruity bite. Fairly pleasant but would benefit from a cleaner more assertive profile.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is mainly wood, some spices and a bit of wheaty notes. Flavour is the same, and quite watery to the palate.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheaty, citric, light buttery. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (220808)

Cask at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Well this won’t be worrying our continental cousins in terms of wheat beer. Blond citrus and hoppy with some lemon and some banana fruit with a dry hoppy finish but none of the other traits you would expect from a white beer. Inoffensive enough

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, oranges, and fruity yeasty notes as well as an acidic edge. The flavor is acidic with light notes of malt, flowers, and honey, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle from a Cornish ASDA. Clear golden with a white head. Nice enough - light and refreshing with citrus notes. Little to make it stand out from the crowd.

Rastacouere (6162) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 19, 2007
Cloudy pale golden hue covered by a thin, but uniform white sheet of foam. Non-evolving flavours showcasing pure wheat before everything and pretty much nothing else. Faint leafy hops and light huskiness in the finish are unsatisfying. One-dimensional and boring.

Cask at GBBF. Clear gold beer. Light semi sweet malt. No citrus?! Dull.
