"A strong, clean tasting Golden Beer that's not too sweet and with a fresh flowery aroma."

Cask, The Cove, Covent Garden: Slightly hazy amber with a white foamy head. Orange hoppy aromas with lots of fresh floral notes. Hops flavours to the front with oranges with some slight caramel sweetness and some pleasant resiny flavours. A slightly chalky mouthfeel works well here. This is nice, but I canít help but feeling that it isnít quite all together.

Cask (The Cove): Hoppy nose, sweet toffee in the malts. Nice grassy finish. Gold with a white head.

Cask Stillage at the Morris Dancer, Kelsall 14/04/2001 Impressive golden coloured in apearance. Strong in alcohol and sweet on the palate.

Light hop nose, pale straw color, fluffy head. Eggy, vegetable component in the flavor profile that I just canít get past. Thin swilling beer really. Didnít care for this one at all.

Cask (handpump) at The Cove, Covent Garden. Mid gold colour, with a slight haze. Fair amount of grassy hop in the aroma. On the palate its clean, dry and mildly citric, but thereís not really too much happening. Not as aromatic as I would like in a golden ale, but perfectly pleasant drinking. The St Austell Tribute, in a similar style, was better on the day.

Cask handpull the Cove - what a fabulous day: Dark golden color, small frothy head - very nice looking. Not much carbonation. Nice grassy nose and taste - light all in all - but very pleasant.

Bottle. Mid gold with a fair white head. Aroma pleasantly hoppy with background malt, and some sweet malts and fruit in the taste. Not a lot of bitterness, but plenty of fizz. Itís quite good.

Beer No 31 on the Wilsonsí Road Trip 2005. Cask at Budock Vean Hotel, nr. Falmouth. Didnít expect to find a decent pint at this 4 star hotel, so pleasantly surprised. Golden amber, white head. Peachy hop, caramelly malt in aroma. Firm mouthfeel with little carbonation. Good hoppy finish. Very enjoyable pint.

(Cask at the Cove, Covent Garden, London) Clear apple juice body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, peach/melon. Taste is medium sweet, melon/peach, mild earthiness, spice. Watery light body that is quite drinkable.
