(Cask at GBBF, London, 7 Aug 2008) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, grapefruit and a clean malt profile. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, pineapple, clean and solid malt with balanced sweetness, leading to a finish with citrussy hops. Nice balance between hops and malt. Nice beer.

Cask at GBBF 2008. Slightly hazed orangey appearance. Well balanced hop, malt aroma. Fruity palate, gooseberry, plenty of hops but not too bitter.

Bottle at ÅBF08. Weak fruity aroma. Golden colour. Weak fruity flavour. Not rough, just boring.

Cask at the Cove, Covent Garden, 26th April 2004. Light amber with a pure white head that takes a while to settle. Very fruity on the nose and on the tongue - peaches, lemons, oranges, apples all present. The finish is a bit plasticky. Not really up my street, but hard to find any glaring flaw.

Cask, Barony Bar, Edinburgh. Golden colour with an off white head. Fruity , citrus, hoppy aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Malty flavour, grassy, hoppy with a hint of spice and a slightly bitter finish. Quite a humorous pump clip ! Not bad.

Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully diminished white head. Dry hoppy and mild malt aroma, classic. Flavour is mild fruity and dry breadish malt. Goes into a mild spiced bitterness before the finish. Dry and bitter finish.

Cask at the Cove, Covent Garden, London. Light amber color with a white head. Mild floral aroma. Medium body with mild carbonation. Rather grassy/herby/floral/spicey hops over mild caramel. Temperature was just right to bring out lots of flavors; what real ale is all about. Finish is clean; really good.

MaltOMeal (1090) - Land of Sugar, Texas, USA - MAR 21, 2008
cask at Market Porter, London. Pours a golden amber color with thin white head. As with most ales I’ve had over here, they aren’t very hoppy, although this one did have a slight bitterness to it. A bit if malty taste as well. This had a mouthfeel that was very smooth and slightly thin, yet drinkable.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks
Very slightly hazy golden blonde with a thin white film. Nice straight down the line hoppy stuff with lots of grapefruit and peach and a faint biscuity note. Dusty and unexpected malty finish. Pretty decent but not quite great.
