Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. Metallic and malty. Heavily wheaty with slight fruit in the finish. Quite strong yeasty character all ’round. Uninspiring in every department. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland Jan 22, 2007 [Cask from The Three Judges] Deep amber, moderate, tight head. Caramel and floral notes dominate, malt loaf notes. Firm palate, dry fruity finish. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England May 19, 2006 Cask conditioned at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. Brown with a patchy white head. Dark, full bodied best bitter with biscuity malt, some caramel/toffee and a bit of fruit. Nice. Amber coloured sweet on the palate and malty. Slightly dry wheat flavour finish. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England Nov 27, 2005 Cask Conditioned, at the Market Porter, Borough, London. </br>
Golden bitter, slightly foggy. Sulphurous aroma and flavour. That said it’s got enough balance and poise to satisfy.
Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico Nov 22, 2005 Updated: Feb 12, 2006Good, creamy, very creamy, and a little sour, rather than ony bitter. Amber colour, and good foam.
