cask @ jdw, newington causeway. Copper with a thin off white head. Lovely cloudy pour off the pump. Nose of grains and hops with notes of malt and rum. Buttery cheese in the taste with malt and yeast. Creamy texture with a watery hop finish.

A Mes Rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. Metallic and malty. Heavily wheaty with slight fruit in the finish. Quite strong yeasty character all ’round. Uninspiring in every department.

[Cask from The Three Judges] Deep amber, moderate, tight head. Caramel and floral notes dominate, malt loaf notes. Firm palate, dry fruity finish.

Cask Conditioned, at the Market Porter, Borough, London. </br> Golden bitter, slightly foggy. Sulphurous aroma and flavour. That said it’s got enough balance and poise to satisfy.

Good, creamy, very creamy, and a little sour, rather than ony bitter. Amber colour, and good foam. NOt booring, but a different flavor after a while.
