Cask condition handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Odd that Iíve not this before. Copper orange colour clear, with off white head. Fudge and softness are my 2 biggest impressions of this beer. Not diacetyl, but definite fudge/toffee aroma and flavour. Very soft in mouth and not much hop presence. Itís a decent bitter/ale as itís not very bitter. Good sweetish fudge malts. Fine with a sweetish finish.

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Amber coloured with light head. Thinly flavoured slightly watery bitter, though there is an alcoholic bitterness and dry maltiness.

leaparsons (7801) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2004
The New Road Inn, Leicester. Nutty brown with a dense white head. Aromas are caramel, chocolate and some sournes, that is quite unpleasant. Flavours are very smooth chocolate with sour fruit - an interesing, odd mixture. Perhaps this was the end of the barrel - but the pub I got it from is Cask Marque acredited so that canít be the case!

A Mes Rate: Cask at Baker Street íSpoons. Metallic and malty. Heavily wheaty with slight fruit in the finish. Quite strong yeasty character all íround. Uninspiring in every department.

Paradise Forum Spoons, Brum. Always seems to be a Skinners beer in there. Tawny amber, slight fog speckled with lace. Hay, dust, slight pepper. Doughy biscuit afters, bit of dung in the aroma. No further information available. Not unpleasant.

Cask-conditioned at the Market Porter, Southwark 06/10/09. An inoffensive bitter, with a decent balance between the sweetish malts and bittering hops. Ok.
