Its orange cap is a suitable colour for the golden amber appearance and small ginger notes that give it a slight spiciness. It is by no means overbearing and quite pleasant, probably due to a weaker body. It has no head but a very sweet aroma.

Great golden red colour. Some head. Flavour is great, some high notes of honey, some warmth of ginger, and some refreshing hops and dry bitter ending.

500ml Bottle. Aroma is of malt, ginger, a hint of honey and citrus. Appearance wise this is a honey coloured ale with the usual inconsistant SKinners head. Taste wise it is a real ale flavoured with ginger, rather than a alcoholic ginger beer - and that is a very good thing. It is a medium bodied beer with a malty start moving through some mild spices to ginger and a slightly bitter finish.

A cloudy golden amber colour, carbonation visible and has a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and syrupy with a hint of honey. Has a taste of honey and malt very refreshing.

Copper orange with a soapy quick dissapearing white soapy head. Smell of malt, citrus, ginger and honey. Definatly natural sweet. Medium biscuit smooth oily body. Sweet ginger toffee start with a biscuit. Light toast to the malt. Some honey sweetness mixed with a hop bitter finish. Interesting but neighter sweet, sour or bittter. Strange mix.

Tried this back in August ’11.
Bright orange gold with a big, lasting, creamy white pad atop. Guava, peach and apricot sliced on top of cereal grains with a dash of sticky pale honey is the aroma, much like a healthy breakfast. Not much honey evident in the mouth, good fruit, spicy and woody along the tongue with a herbal earthy backend. Light bodied and creamy in mouthfeel with a dry earthy hop flower finish. The fruit esters keeps it fresh, tangy, mildly citric on the palate. Quaffable stuff, nice and light on. (50cL, BB 08/08/12, Tesco, Exmouth, Devon)

Clear golden with a frothy white head. High to medium carbonation. Fresh hop aroma. Very refreshing beer. Crisp texture. Slight ginger aftertaste. Thin on flavour yet very pleasant to drink.

Bottle. Golden with a white head. Aromas are caramel, butter and marmalade with honey and floral notes and light, spicy ginger. Flavours are sweet caramel and lemon with soft spices and slick butter. Warming ginger to finish. Probably better in cask.

Cask at The Cable Station Inn, Portchurno. Pours hazy golden with a thin white foam. Aroma of hop and ginger. Taste is watery, easy on the sweet malts, lingering light ginger burn.

Cask at a back street pub in St. Ives. Light ginger aroma. Pours light amber. Flavor is very light ginger over mild caramel. Tends towards a bitter finish.
