Heligan Honey Ale is a light refreshing bitter, pale amber in colour with distinct hoppy overtones and the subtle addition of real Cornish honey.

En honingale med god maltet smag. Ikke så sødlig som så mange honingale jeg har smagt.

(500ml) In a fucken tulip. A genuine honey nose. Deep orange colour with a head that departs after a second . The palate suggests honey covered caramel malts ,spicy hops in there ,dry finish.

Cask at The Old Ale House, Truro. A clear amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, honey, nuts and some citrusy hops. Taste is sweet of caramel, honey, some nuts, fruity malt and a little bit of orange coming through. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, slightly tart, malty finish. Not great but drinkable. A sweet, malty beer with decent honey flavours and a little citrus twang.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - soggy branflakes, but not in a bad way. Sweet creamy malt is what I’m trying to say. Taste - toffee and biscuits. Some nuts. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a nice dry biscuity finish. Overall - it’s not special but it’s decent. Not sure where the honey was. Hidden in amongst the caramel notes, and probably just as well as this beer as come out fresh and drinkable unlike some honey beers.

A light body with caramel, floral, herbs, honey. A nice clear amber liquid with a tan foam. Light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, thin feel, flat, long finish. Recommendable.
