500 ml bottle. Mostly clear orange copper, off-white foam fades. Mild fruity sweet malt aroma. Not too sweet malt taste, some honey flavor and lightly bitter floral citrus hops. Low carbonation and light bodied. Sours a bit towards a light bitter citrus finish. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Bit of honey. Skinners make me want to go back to that place with the tapas place that is always full so we end up in the New York style joint that serves great burgers and Skinners in frosted glasses when it is warm outside and you want to go surfing but you haven’t got a board and the nearest you’ve ever come to surfing is skateboarding and watching Point Break and enjoying the cameo by Anthony Kiedis and that other DVD about big waves that makes you go woah and say things like radical and awesome and other things like that.

Jan 2013 - room temp bottle. The honey flavour is v rich and rounded, not too sweet at all. Similar to maple syrup. It really does complement and add something to the malty flavour. Almost no bitterness in this beer. Very easy drinking, and the rich honey flavour is nice. Good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some really nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy with hints of caramel and honey. Taste is quite malty sweet with a subdued grassy and light citrus bitterness. A nicely done brew for the style, only complaint is that it is a little on the sweet side.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle: best before 16 Nov 2012, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 25 Oct 2012.
Light amber body when held up to the light source, dull amber in the shade: with an impressive head of off-white foaming bubbles no matter where the glass is sat.
Definate honey presence in the nose and taste: semi-sweet malty molasses can also be found in the aroma and flavours: the hops don’t hide though, they come to the fore towards the end of each gulp with their bitterness and dryness. They also add a fruity, spicey aspect to the smell.
The balance between the honey sweetness and the hops bitterness is nicely done and although I’m not normally a ’honey beer’ fan this was fine. A good blend and I’d love to have a cask conditioned one.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Hazy amber coloured brew with an honey smell, bitter taste and the beer is slightly watery but not in a bad way.
