3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Maria (9562) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2008
This Christmas beer has a truly hilariously funny label - just like the rest of the beers from this Brewer! The brew is hazy, brown with a red hue, and it has a nice head. The aroma has a little caramel and a lot of aroma hops, that gives the flavour fruity and citrussy bitterness, mostly i the finish. It also has notes of roasted malt, caramel and light hints of licorice. It’s a nice ale, but IMO it’s not a Christmas beer.

Bottled. Lovely fruity and floral hops aroma. Hazy, orange/amber color, off-white small head, good lace. Maltsweet, pretty bitter, hoppy, orange and tangerine. Soft mouthfeel.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 6, 2007
Thin white coarse head. Chestnut brown body. Sweet roasty caramel aroma with notes of metal and nuts. Deep caramelly nutty taste with metallic notes. Very reminiscent of Ruddles County, but more powerful in taste, and less bitter. (0.5l bottle.)
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10909) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2007
Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Amber colour with lasting thin beige head. Bit of sulphur on the aroma. Bit of yeast before sweetish malt fruit kicks in. Decent peppery hop on end is dominated by full rich malt fruit. Very drinkable. Even with a hangover at 10.30 in the morning.

Strong sweetish and hoppy aroma, notes of strawberries, blackcurrants, figs, caramel and Christmas pudding. Pleasant flavour with moderately sweet fruity notes, some biscuity notes and caramel too. 3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 19, 2006
Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear reddish amber colour, low white foam. Malty sweet aroma of toffee, milky chocolate and almond with a subtle but fresh enough hop aroma of soily and slightly grassy hops. Malty flavour of fudge, crackers and whipped cream with a well-balanced aftertaste of crackers, oranges and soily brittish jops.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (26237) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 25, 2006
A slightly hazy orange beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of English hops giving it a light spicy and floral note, to accompany the fruity notes. The flavor is sweet malty with fruity notes of oranges and peaches, as well as spicy, floral, and slightly dusty notes, leading to a bitter end. OK, but for a Christmas beer I find it boring.
