Good looking clear ale with a light spattering of head. There are definitely some hops there but they are very subtle. Hidden amongst a hefty load of sweet, fruity malts. Fruity and light. Lack of hops in the mouth except the smallest waft at the far end of the finish. Oily and still, which I feel works nicely with the fruit. Montrously tasty with a mixed berry pavlova, if a little bitter in comparison.

Bottle 50cl. @ TFODRBSG 2008, Ulfborg, Denmark
Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, toffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (230808)

Bottled. Just on the brown side of amber, light semi-lacy white head. Malt and honey aroma, perhaps wild hops as well. Easy drinking, silky mouth feel. Not so bitter, bitter, which is short on the palate but very easy to drink.

Another hilarious label from Skinner’s - I adore them! The beer is dark golden with a nice head and the aroma has notes of caramel, light fruit and is quite mild. The flavour is smooth, round and well-balanced with notes of roasted malt, caramel, a bit of fruit and a very light bitterness in the finish and a very long finish. Uncomplicated and charming!

Cask, Babington Arms (JDW) Derby. Orangy hue, well fruited and underplayed in the bitter department. Good all-rounder.

Amber color. Some hop aroma, nuts; some malt, seaweed. Dry taste, reminds me some Chinese food, weak body. Original and weird!
