Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in June 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear golden in colour with a thin white head. Strong aromatic herbs, grass and floral notes in the long aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with juicy fruit notes of pink grapefruit and tart gooseberries. Strong prickle of hop resins gives a dry but pleasant bitter aftertaste. Finish is aromatic with bitter hop resins to the fore but not too cloying with it. A decent session Golden Ale and well recommended.

Cask (Market Porter, London)
7 Lovely fruity spicy hoppy aroma, very fresh, very green and resiny.
3 Mid gold, small head
7 Retronasals follow the nose - lovely fresh fruity hops, sweetish malts, tiny touch of ginger too.
4 Lovely smooth palate, carbonation low. Finish sweet, a little gingery, and even some gentle roastiness.
15 Stunning 3.8% bitter - so full of flavour and so quaffable.

[3228-20100801] Cask. Mild leafy hops aroma is oddly sweaty. Clear, pale orange body with a long-lasting thick creamy white head and thick lacing. Fragrant yeasty leaf hops flavour. Medium body. Quite drinkable once you get past the odd aroma.

2010-08-01. Crisp golden body with a small creamy beige head and lace. Mild flavour, modest bitterness throughout, very mild citrusy hop notes. Soft malty undercurrents. Lemony hop character comes out more as it warms up. 6+ Mild aroma, lemon zest, light yeast touch and a whisper of a sweaty note. 6+ Smooth average to light palate seems to suit the beer, though I would prefer it a bit more full bodied myself. Very nice sessionable bitter. Cask at Market Porter, London
