Not bad. Slightly citrus taste alongside a somewhat lager based main flavour. Drinkable but not outstanding.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
First tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in September 2003. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Lemon peel and hop flowers in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a zesty lemon and grapefruit flavours juicy in the mouth. Cereal flavour noted in the hop resins leading to a bitter aftertaste. Finish is dry with slightly astringent hop resins present in the drying palate. An ok ESB but really tasted below the 5% ABV though.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a medium orange colour with a thin white head. Plenty of wheat and fruit in the aroma. The taste is all citrus with a hint of peach that leads to a dry bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a small head. Nose isn’t strong, some citrus and resinous hops, pleasent enough. A bit sweet and a light bitter finish with some citrus on the aftertaste. Goes down easy. Body is a bit light and a tad watery, but a spot on beer for drinking in the sun.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, filtered but not pasteurised, from that post office just before Land’s End. Bright gold with a slick creamy foam and a few frills of lace. Grassy hop, tea and toffee, lime and wholemeal aroma. Slight and soapy with dabs of grass and lemon, loitering almond/oak tones as it wams, no real malt (or wheat) presence, for that matter. Pleasant, passed me by a bit...
