3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Yessssss! So happy I can finally rate this. Drank an unbelievable amount of this over 19 days in Bahia and Belo. I’ll admit, it looks like water and smells like plain ole beer. The flavor is also rather unremarkable. But I have developed a deep deep attachment to this beer. I associate it only with beautiful women, blue water, and partying at Barraca do Parracho until 8 am. It goes down like water, but not in the offensive way natty light does. Drink up, fellas.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Another copycat lager that is bland beyond belief. With all the germans that fled to Brazil, you would think one of them would have tried to put out a decent beer.

Can at the hotel. Any lighter and you would float away. One notch above seltzer water. All right after the gym, I suppose.

Canned (BB 04/2005)
Very pale yellow, almost green color, small vanishing white head. Weak aroma of sweet malts. Strange taste of cutted grass, light-bodied. Similarities to some non-alcohol beers ... awful but gave me a new country :)

A very ordinary Pilsen, only good for a very hot day. Unfortunately this is brasilian standard beer.
But in need u can get used to it.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Sampled draught at Balcony Bar, Rio de Janeiro
This pub on the Copacabana was a recommendation from another beer site. It proved to be something like a brothel where fat Americans in their upper 70's socialized with young Brazilian girls, boys and something-in-between. This beer was worse than the place. Golden coloured with minimal head. Fruity, mellow and semi-sweet. Boiled vegetables dominate the picture. Awful. Avoid (both pub and beer)

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very good. Had this while I was in Rio. Suprisingly very good taste. Hoppy and smells very good. hints of yeast are left behind in your mouth after drinking. Nice head as well. A definate improvement over the brazilian brew antarctica!

Light golden, medium head, no lace. Mild, a bit dry nose. Light, bit dry body, watery texture. Notes of fruity.

One of the more readily available beers in Brazil. Golden colour, fizzy head an mouthfeel. Marginal at best.

Possibly the greatest lager in the world, people are normally put off by the opinions of friends and don't realise how good it really is until they try it for themselves
