1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
0.33l bottle, gift from Macedonia. Light golden color, creamy white head with good lace. Aroma hoppy, with hints of citrus. Taste watery, notes of yeast and something artificial, soapy finish. Disaster.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Kaj Marchalot (Skopke, Macedonia). Blond body with a thin white foamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with herbal and bready hints. Fair taste lacks complexity. Ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Not too bad for a Balkanic macro-lager.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draught in Skopje. Pale golden with a medium white head. A dire aroma of wet cardboard, cereal and corn syrup. Flavour is much the same. Thin and watery. Finish is nothingness thankfully.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Mild, inoffensive, predominantly malt, light lager...served in 11.2oz/330ml bottle, not can as depicted. Easily drinkable in massive quantities, I suspect! Better than Niksicko (another Balkan brew I tried recently), and no doubt the best national beer between Union (SLO) and Efes (TR)! $1.49/bottle is not unaffordable either

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can my friend brought back from eastern Europe that I never got around to cracking open until now. Pours a pale, transparent yellow with a surprisingly thick head. Aroma has hay and sweet, breakfast-cereal malts. Took me three sips to get anything out of the flavor. Some corn, grain, and that breakfast cereal note keeps coming back. Fizzy, wimpy, lacking any real character. Blech.
