Fin (2357), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Sep 28, 2008 Had this on tap at Dronning Louise Esbjerg, Jutland, Denmark 22-09-08 What a fantastic pub this was and with probably the best member of staff encountered throughout our entire trip, let us taste what we want, very very friendly and knowledgeable, food also great Anyway back to the beer. This poured a hazy lemon colour with wispy bits of white froth. Unusual flavour which I was later informed by the bar lady, Manager? That this was birch. Good tang and with some bitterness, very nice beer, they also do an oak beer. cab (760), Denmark Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Funky taste, fine bitternes and i tell my self that it is cimming from the the birch. Hop is just right for this one. Nice beer. dunkpigen (283), Kolding, Denmark Apr 2, 2007 Pours a clear yellow - very fizzy - with a big white foamy head that disappears rather quickly. Malty sweet aroma with a hint of hops. Sweet flavour with a hoppy aftertaste that stays with you. Fizzy but still full feel in the mouth - a bit cramy actually. (Bottle) thewolf (3979), Kolding, Denmark Apr 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours a pale yellow, just a touch hazy. Lots of bubbles in the glass. A medium foamy white head that sounds fizzy, but stays for a little. Malty sweet aroma with a doze of Saaz hops. Quite creamy mouthfeel. Begins slightly sweet, then hits with a good dose of hops. Not terribly dry, but a nice example of the style. Jeppe (2636), Ølbutikken, Denmark Jun 9, 2005 Draught at Bryggeri Skovlyst. Hazy orange golden with a small head. Mild aroma of orange, melon and citrus. Nice and fresh and not very pilsener-like. Dominating melon flavor with a little bit of hop and a dry end. Really refereshing and a good pilsener.
