(3) Not the worst brown ale, but it does need a bit more volume to get a higher rating.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Clear dark copper with a very short white head. There is not a whole lot of aroma, but it does have a few notes of hops and caramel. The taste is rather light, with a bit of caramel, medium bitterness and slight acid. Light body, lively carbonation and a bitter finish. More brown ale and less water would be an improvement to this beer.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brewed from fresh beech shoots, thereby giving a distinctive aroma of wood, and a light smoky aroma mixed with the caramel and hops. The taste is dominated by a well-balanced hops, but in the background I detect caramel malt, the light smoky flavor and a pleasant flavor of a green forest on a spring day!
