On tap. Completely opaque black with a dense light brown head. Intensely refined aroma of coffee liqueur and warming alcohol. Quite full-bodied, again an intense flavour of liqueur (was some added??), a little coffee and overripe fruit. Quite some alcohol in the finish. Lovely. 080510

Anise and prune stand out for me in both aroma and taste. Black center with a sunburst edge (almost describes the flavor, too). Light head, dissipated quickly. Delicious.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as grain. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted finish.
