Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark, almost black, nice head. Starts strong-malty, a bit earthy, nice dry notes. Finish well balanced, still dry, not very stout-like. Good!

Bottle, almost black beer with a small white head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, Annis and dark brown sugar, and some fruity notes. Sweet taste of roasted malt and some fruity notes. Dry and slightly bitter in taste and aftertaste

Draft @ Copenhagen Beerfestival 2010. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma with hints of alcohol. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor with hints of licorice. Has a sweetish roasted malty chocolate and coffee finish.

Anise and prune stand out for me in both aroma and taste. Black center with a sunburst edge (almost describes the flavor, too). Light head, dissipated quickly. Delicious.

@Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Pitch black ccolour with minor head. Aroma is sweet liquorice, alcohol, soasted malts as well as some mild toasted noes. Flavour is sweet malts, liquorice, some roasted notes as well as some mild chocolate as well. Rather wellbalanced, considering the 20 % abv.

Dark. Has an off-white head, lasting. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, milk chocolate, mild coffee. Heavy yeasty notes too. FLavor is heavy swéet, finish moderate bitter. Lots of alcohol too. Syrupy texture. Soft carbonation.

On tap. Completely opaque black with a dense light brown head. Intensely refined aroma of coffee liqueur and warming alcohol. Quite full-bodied, again an intense flavour of liqueur (was some added??), a little coffee and overripe fruit. Quite some alcohol in the finish. Lovely. 080510

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2010, TAP1. Pours a very dark burgundy beer with a lightbrown head. The aroma is fruit, plum, prune, dried fruit and sweetness. The flavor is roasted, sweetness, prune, fruit and dried fruit. The palate is sweetness with notes of alcohol. Overall a good and bold beer.

Draught at KØ10. Roasted flavour. A little vinous finish. Black colour. Small stable brown head. Warming alcohol finish, slightly burning. A bit rough.
