Pinball (417), Allerød, Denmark Sep 4, 2008 clear dark brown, light brown head.
rather weak aroma of licorice and a little fruits. flavor is dominated by licorice. beneath that, roasted stuff, and perhaps some fruits. sweet stout alright. nice but different. high marks bc i happen to like licorice.. if it had not "stout" in its name might have gotten higher ratings. pilsnerrogge (1589), Finspång, Sweden Aug 26, 2008 Bottled: Pours dark, red-ish brown; almost black with a mid sized head. Lots of aniseed and some liquorice on the nose. Flavour is more aniseed and liquorice. Different but smooth and quaff-able. Habanero (466), Tranbjerg, Denmark Aug 12, 2008 Bottled, pours dark brown with red corners and a nice off-white head. Strong nose of anis and liqourice. Rather caramel sweet flavour, again dominated by anis and liqourice, has some malt and notes of coffee. Ends up more dry. Medium bodied. It has little balance. Maybe it would be more acceptable if Skovlyst called it Liqourice Stout instead of Oat Stout(?) rane (359), Nibe, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Dark with brown head. Aroma is sweet with licorice notes. Taste with load of licorice and sweet. Very nice. tarjei (1166), Bryne, Norway Jun 25, 2008 50 cl bottle, shared with Sølve. Bottle#500. Best before 20/4-08. Brown color, small white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor is the same, with some bitterness and alcohol, and a strange taste of what must be «brennesle», also hints of liqorize. A strange, but not bad stout.
