Commercial Description:

(Cellphone rating). Dark with beige head. Methylated spirits and caramel in aroma. Not very pleasant. Flavour of toasted malts, cocoa, spirits and some bitterness. Really not worth wasting time or money on.

30-AUG-2009, Bottle @home. Brown (not black), not a lot of head. Liquorice dominates, and then the sweetness. Not too much just enough to make it very easy drinking. Very low carbonation adds to that feeling. Nice beer, nothing that rocks the world, but again considering the price, it could be a rebuy.

Bottle bought at SuperBest copenhagen. Dark with a small off white head. Taste of liquorice is dominating. Very sweet, but can buy it again.

Bottle. Nice aroma, malty and fruity. Dark brown with milk chocolate head. But the flavour does not live up to the expectations. Milk, sugar, overpowering sweetness. I think there is a nice nettle herbal flavour trying to get through here, but it does not have a chance.

Bottle. Dark brown body, with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, sweet. Flavor is sweet liquorice. It is way to sweet for me, no bitterness at all. I won´t buy this again.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a light brown head. Bit of lacing. Weird spicy aroma; sort of a mix of liquorice and cloves. Interesting, but not really doing anything for me; quite cloying actually. At first, flavour is a bit metallic with lots of sweet liquorice and some toffee notes as well - quite nice. As it warms though, it develops notes of cloves (like the aroma), which overshadows the liquorice and makes it a bit cloying. Finish is pretty much the same, but with slight grassy notes lingering. 09-03-09.
