Bottle. Medium-dark brown appearance. Surprisingly shy aroma for a winter ale, with a touch of malt on the nose and, maybe just through expectation/suggestion, a touch of Christmastime spice. Flavour initially seems appetizing with pleasant malt and allspice, but further analysis reveals a majority of distasteful bitter qualities: aspirin, Campari and aspartame. No thanks

Draught att Bishop Arms Copenhagen november 2011. Amber with a offwhite head. Malty, spicy aroma with yeast notes. Malty flavour with some hops.

Bottle. Moderate brown clear. No pine aromas but malty. Watery finish Boring.

Bottled: Amber colored beer with a short but frothy beige head. Aroma is toffee, bread, anis-like spices, pine. Flavour is malty sweet and spicy. Soft mouthfeel, medium body, spicy sweet finish.

Fra fat på Bishop’s Arms, København 4 Nov 11. Dyp brun. Lavt luftig skum. Svakt søtlig fruktig aroma. Smaken er søtt krydder. Lite variasjon. Søtt/klissent helhetsinntrykk.

Half, tap at Bishop Arms, Copenhagen. Clear, nut brown body. Shiny surface. Fragile glass-lacing. Sweet aroma of brown malts. Sweet malty taste with a touch of star anise leading to mid-sweet and spicy ending. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. On the sweet side, however, one small glass there and then was quite alright (Copenhagen, 06. 11.2011).

Draught at Bishops Arms, Copenhagen. Deep golden beer with a small offwhite head. Malty aroma with spicy notes. Malty flavor, spices, bread, some hops. Bready finish. Plain.

the 2010 version from bottle tasted in November 2011. Very sweet, and fruity in flavour. Dark redish in colour with a small creamy head.

Some light brown head, amber.light caramel nose with a vague hint of spices like cinnamon. Medium body and length. Taste also with some spices and light caramel.
