2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 thepeter (274) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 26, 2012
This was just not What I expected. The beer pours a murky Brown with little to no head at all leaving no lacing. It smells pretty nice. Dark malt, Coffee, Sweet Caramel, toffee and a bit of a sourish tang as well. I thought this was really stange and interesting. The Taste is where it takes a turn for the worse. The coffee is there as expected but then there is a tart dryness that takes over until the bitter coffee aftertaste comes back, but not in a good way. This is rather thin bodied and like no other Stout I have ever tried. Although it was very interesting I have no interest in seeking this out or trying it again.
