22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Hazy dark amber beer. No head. Crisp light palate. Tangy fruit here as much as coffee. Finishes light with red fruit and more coffee. Two unusual bedfellowes well balanced here. Unusual. Nice!

Colour similar to molasses, head is brown, fluffy and lasts for quite some time, but leaves no lacing. Aromas are burnt bread, molasses, nuts and roasty notes. The coffee wasn’t very noticeable. Taste is sweet, with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is pleasant, slightly thick without being syrupy, and the carbonation is low, but not too low.

Bamsen78 (3140) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2013
Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but abundant and stable tan head. Dark aroma of roast, malt, alcohol and caramel. Sweet, flavour of caramel malt, with notes of coffee and dried fruit, as well as roasty touches. Roasted and coffeelike finish with boozy overtones. Tastes more of alcohol than the ABV stated on the label. Not bad but rather heavy and boozy for an ordinary stout.

Behagelig kulsyre. En lækker stout der kun kan nydes.
