COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

50 cL bottle (nr 805). Pours black with a light brown head, quickly disappearing but leaving some lacing. Aroma is yeasty/fruity, roasted malt, distinct note of liqourice and a soft coffee note too. Flavour is first fruity and tart bitter, followed by a soft sweet malty note before the liqourice kicks in. Finish is a soft blend of malt, bitterness and liqourice, but it also has a odd herbal note (braendenaelder?)

Small beige head on a dark brown body. Malty roasty aroma. The flavor is slightly medicinal. Quite odd and way too much liquorice for my taste. Thin aftertaste for a stout.

This beer was kind of dissapointing. Not much of a stout really. More a smoked dark ale. The palate is too thin and the flavor too. Its just a nice beer but not a stout in my opinion. Taste and aroma of roasted malts and some strange thing I cant define.

Batch nr. HS 0908062, tapped on bottle. Brown/black with a red hue and a modest, but creamy head. The aroma has a lot of anise and sweet licorice. The flavour is full, and I get notes of anise, sweet licorice and burnt rubber. The finish is rather long. I’m not keen on the anise... 1550
