COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Pours very dark with reddish tint. Aroma is very liquorice with some saltyness. Taste is also liquorice, but with a lot of sweetness and maybe caramel. Medium body. If you like liquourice this is definitely one to try. It does however seem like a lot of ingredients for just that one taste. Decent beer.

Pours dark back with half to one finger head off white head which disappear quite quickly (in snifter). Aroma sweet with a metallic hint, not too interesting. Tastes awesome, dark roasted malts with coffee, caramel and liquorice, very drinkable full bodied stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl bottle thanks to onkelgobber. Pours almost opaque black with some red glints. The nose has salty liquorice. The taste has more of the liquorice, this time sweet, some toffee and malt notes in the background. The palate is medium bodied and palate with a fairly elegant finish. Overall, a bit one-dimensional.

Some liquorice in aroma and flavour. Has a sweet fruity flavour but also a nice level of roasted malt bitterness. Really smooth, creamy, oily texture.

0.5l bottle. This one is a clear dark deep ruby brown one with a small light beige lacing head. Not to extreme on the aroma, light malty and caramel sweet with traces of chocolate, cocoa and snow. It feels really nice in the mouth, with a nice average small bubbly carbonation level and a thick oily texture. In the taste I get sweet caramel mixed with tones of both chocolate, something floral, dark sugar and some wet cocoa powder. It’s perhaps a bit on the sweet side and perhaps a bit unbalanced, but I found this surprisingly tasty. 04.07.2012

(50 cl bottle) Pours a clear, dark brown with medium, tan head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is roasted malt and licorice with no detectable hops. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body with a dry, licorice finish. Taste is slightly sweet. Girlfriend says: "It’s not rich enough. It’s a bit green in the taste. There’s a bit of licorice in there too."
