3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 k0mpsa (463) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 14, 2013

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 ClubGonzo (2764) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 17, 2013
Bottle. Pours a deep brown body with a ruby red taint and a small off-white head. Nose is heavy salt-ish licorice tones bordering on salmiac, with hints of caramel and herbs in the back. Weird, and not too good. Taste is definitely better; sweet licorice, tobacco, grains, caramel and hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Not the best integration of flavors, and it seems a bit lackluster, but nevertheless pretty decent. Full to medium body and thinly carbonated with leaves it a bit flat and one-dimensional. Not very impressive from Skovlyst.

Bottle shared by Cuso, thanks. Aroma is herbal, liquorice, light coffee, very light hops. Taste is mostly liquorice, light milk chocolate, light roasted. Unusual, but I liked it. Dark brown colour, brown head. My first sweet stout, it was not what I expected, but nevertheless a tasty and drinkable beer. Alcohol hidden well.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with airy light tan head. Dark aroma of malt and caramel, slightly distorted by a mildly metallic finish. Bittersweet, roasty flavour of malt and spice. Richly carbonated. Not bad for the type, but not anything really extraordinary.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jonas (5068) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - DEC 8, 2012
Bottle. Browmn with a very nice red shine, creamy cappucino lace. Strong licorice and herb aroma. Fairly sweet sugary entry, caramel, fennel, in general strong spices - kongen af danmarks dråber. Slightly lightbodied, mellow mouthfeel, dry finish. Loved the aroma, flavourwise it seems a little muddled - pushing some of that sweetness into the back would help I think.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 onkelgobber (132) - Edinburgh, - NOV 17, 2012
Bottle. Pours very dark with reddish tint. Aroma is very liquorice with some saltyness. Taste is also liquorice, but with a lot of sweetness and maybe caramel. Medium body. If you like liquourice this is definitely one to try. It does however seem like a lot of ingredients for just that one taste. Decent beer.
