Øllet er en mørk øltype som har en duft af ristet og karamel/toffee-agtig karakter fra malten, samt let chokolade. Øllet er moderat på bitterhed og har en let sødme og et let kulsyre indhold, der ligger til øltypen.

Bottle. Low fluffy light brown quickly disappearing head. Pitch black body. Mild coffee caramel aroma. Mild coffee chocolate flavor with a somewhat weak body. Little hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste.

Draught @ Bryggeri Skovlyst, Skovlystvej 2, 3500 Vaerloese, Denmark.
Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, toffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter, light light dark berry chocolate acidic with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100319]

Near black with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, liquerice and coffee notes. Flavour had roasted malt, coffee, liquerice and diacetyl. Finished sweet.

Bottled. Reddish brown colour. Dense brown head. Aroma of light roast, caramel, light liqourice and fruits. Flavour of fruits, light roast, caramel and some grass. Thin bodied. Light roasty end.

Ungstrup (30235) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2010
Growler. A deep red beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, as well as lighter notes of butter, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt and butter as well as a bit of wood, leading to a dry roasted and buttery finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Growler 100 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear, warm reddish brown with a small off-white head. Sweet buttery nose with burned caramel. Medium body, burned caramel accents, yet rather dry. Some roast as well combined with a vague whiff of smoke. Dryish, malt bitter finish. 080210

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan and lacing head. Aroma is roasted, light spiced and herbal with a light brewmashy. Sweet dark breadish flavoured. Light brewmash note and dark hard roasted malty. Light acidic to bitter flavoured into the finish. Simple porter, towards schwarzbier.

Draught @ the brewery restaurant. Totally blacl colour with a small creamy light borwn head leaving a good lacing. Aroma: roasty malt and anise, light smoke. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour: Roasty malt, light smoke, anise and a rather mild bitterness for a porter.

Draught at the brewpub. Black coloured with a medium sized off white head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, butterscotsch and metal with notes of liquorice. Sweet and light roasted flavour of caramel and liquorice with notes of hops. Roasted finish.
