The Common Market. Charlotte, NC. 12 Jan 2011. The aroma is what floored me first. Nutty, toasty maybe biscuity. I had a friend’s sniffer identify "caramel or maybe toffee". Rumor is that it has hazelnut flavor which is somewhat hard to pick out. Very full pour had about 1/4" cream/tan head. Nice lacing. I really wanted another!

Draft at cherry bomb. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasty with subtle hints of cocoa. Flavor follows suite. Nice nutty presence

On tap at Noma 11/15/2010 in Winston-Salem NC. First seasonal offering from Skull Coast, contract brew our of SC. Pours a murky reddish brown; reddish head with minimal lacing. Aroma highlight tons of milk chocolate and caramel. Root Beer! Medium bodied. Starts off sweet then nutty arrives. Bitterness rises in the finish then fades. A malty robust porter best at home with a well done steak.
