from belgianshop.com - cloudy dark orange colour with a robust foamy white head; estery with notes of tangerines, slightly dusty; good malt body; the initial sweetness is soon followed by a fair and tart bitterness; quite dry long fruity and yeasty finish - classic but good nonetheless

(Rating #1386)

Glouglouburp (6022) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 14, 2007
In short: Generic smooth Belgian blonde ale. Below average.
How: 330ml bottle, private importation, drank 2 months after receiving it.
The look: Cloudy golden yellow body with a medium white head
In long: Yeasty beer/body. Bready malts/yeast. Fluffy body. Some dried honey, hops cruelly missing except for a little sharp bitterness in the finish. Some honey and some grapefruits. Some herbal spices. The whole thing doesn’t amount to much. Sloppymutske Blonde Zomerbier

Cloudy yellow gold hue, with a frothy white head, yeasty, fruity nose, with a bready dough accent, with some honeyed pale malts, with a citrus, grapefruit, orange peel note, with a subtle coriander spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spritzy citrusy character, with some fruity notes of grapefruit, lemon and faint manderin, with some honeyed pale malts, with a coriander and subtle vanilla spiciness, and a mild flowery hop accent, leading towards a fruity, citucy, hop bittering finish.

Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, tasting @ yespr] Huge fizzy white head that lasted ok. Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy golden colour. Aroma of yeast, fruity and light citrus notes. Over the palate some lovely apricot / peach like aroma with a hint of almost liquorish like feel. Medium bodied with a light alcoholic texture and a soft carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavour with a hint of acidic. Light fruity sweet finish.
