2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty beige color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and subtle dough bread yeast is OK. Taste is quite sweet with some weird spice mix and a dry metallic finish. Sweetness was a bit too cloying and texture too oily for the style. Body was quite full with some great carbonation. I can think of at least half-dozen of more balance beer in this style and definitely too many flaws for me to try again.

Piacevole!_______________ENGLISH TEXT HERE____________The bottle truly makes a bad impression, but when you pour it, it seems a evil copy of Duvel; in fact it has a more friendly abv, even if the appearance is way more hazy and dark. But the head is the same, huge! Aroma is fruity and light, which vanishes in a gentle and warm alcohol blow, flavor is a little more complex, with an apple note which melts with the hops in the slightly sour finale. Pleasant!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle via Lubiere, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden, very small white head.
Aroma: Light apple, coriander, a little yeast/dough, a fair hit of dank, aged hops, some floral honey, a bit of lemon peel.
Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence, noticeable astringency.
Flav.: A bit fruity, musty hops galore, a bit dirty, a touch of the honey and spices, something fleeting – I almost want to say a chemical note like ammonia; dry, leaves a biscuity, bread crust aftertaste, a bit of alcohol sting and reasonable bitterness for a Belgian.
Mine didn’t have “Zomerbier” on the label, but this seems like an appropriate summer beer. Something to quaff while relaxing on a patio in Liege.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Hazy orange colour with minor white head. Aroma is spices, yeast and overall very meady thing. Flavour is almost the one of a tablebeer, very sweet and spicy. Hides the 6.4% well, considered it was almost like having some dark Tafelbier...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My hotel room party tasting. Nic little spicey ale going on here, blanced hints of lemon peel, rounded sweetness with a dryish spicey finish.

Bottle at Trappistenhuis, Gent. Hazy orange, medium off-white head. Strong hoppy aroma: fruit, herbs and spiciness. Heavily bitter flavours, fruity hops galore- quite extreme for a Belgian. Medium body and carbonation. Nice hoppy manifestation Belgian-style.
