3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a 330 ml bottlr with an expiration date of of 28/08/09. Pours dark brown with a very puffy tan head. Sweet malted and spicy aroma. Medium mouthfeel. The alcohol kind of overblows the malts in the taste. But I also note a raisiny flavor. I like the spice on this one.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
~ Pours a dark cider brown colour with light brown head. Some lacing
~ A sweet choclatey raisin scent. Malty nose.
~ A sour confectioner choclate taste with raisins. A bit fruity
similar to cherries.
~ Palate is sticky and aftertaste is sweet.
~ This is a fairly decent brew. Seems like its trying to be a sweet
stout, but can’t quite make it.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from The Manchester Winter Ales Festival courtesy of a fine bloke called Winn. It was late in the day so my notes are a little brief. Really enjoyed it. Dark fruit, christmassy type of beer. Belting. Why even read the crap I have to say? Go and drink one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle big thanks to ronnie. Aroma is bursting with fruity esters, blueberrys are clear and other mixed berrys, sweetish yeasty character but not over powerlying so, very noiseable. Taste is similarly packed with berry character. The best belgian ale iv had in ages.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma was fruity with a tropical aroma and strong dark fruit, raisin and prune, presence. The aroma was earthy and a bit dirty with some light spice and farmhouse notes. A dark candy/caramel sweetness lurked in the background. The beer poured crystal clear amber brown with a beige head which rose tall, but retreated quickly only leaving a light layer on the top of the surface. The flavor was malty with dark caramel, dark fruits, raisins and prunes, and a bit of winey chocolate. Spice was notable, a bit of cinnamon and some clove, but not very interesting. The flavor was toasty and bready. The finish was dry with a lasting biscuity nature into the aftertaste. The body was medium with a low level of carbonation. An ok beer, but missing complexity. 750 ml corked and bailed bottle.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a deep, cherry-cola color; fluffy, textured khaki head with excellent retention and lacing; somewhat fizzy. Lots of dried dark fruits and overripe fruitiness and very light spicing in the aroma; slightly watery. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: some pepper, chewy candy sugar, and overripe dried dark fruits at the forefront; not overly dense, but a very tasty and drinkable dried-dark-fruit-laden Belgian strong; solid stuff, but a bit watery. Medium finish, showing dried dark fruits and a slightly metallic note.
