Grifo. Prologando final amargo y especiado. Recuerdos de níspero en el retrogusto. Sabrosa con alto, pero agradable, ABV. Buena cerveza. On-tap. Tube glass. Enjoyed on apr´13. Golden amber. Veiled appearance. Lasting off-white crown. Candy , flowery & herbal aromas to the nose, mild toasted hints as well. Flavor profile shows creamy maltiness & medlar touch. Belgian yeast & brown sugar notes. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Long bitter & spiced finish. Medlar on the aftertaste. Flavorful. Gentle ABV, no matter its highness. Nice beer.

Sample @ Brugge Bierfest ’13.

Draft sample @ Brugs Bier Festival 2013. Pale, lightly hazy golden, white head. Nose is EU hops, bitter floral, grass & some sweetness from yeast. Taste is sweeter, yeast, light tbitter touch, hint of fruits, herbs, BE yeast, light malt sweetness, light floral & grass bitterness, light metallic hint. Light bodied. Dull but more enjoyable for certain than comparable offerings since it appears to play the field of pilsners which are usually atrocious in Belgium. Commendable in its blandness.

No head left; clear golden beer. Liquorice, drop, cookies, straw. As to hops? Rosewater hops, sweet malts. Balanced, but utterly uninteresting. Sweetness is syrupy slick. Bummer; I had expected fireworks as with fine Bavarian pilseners. Not a bad beer, but so uninteresting. Compared to the H.C, Kent Goldings,,,

From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is phenolic and caramelish. Metallic. Bitter, light herbal and spiced phenolic. Toasted malty, dry and phenolic finish. Quite herbal bitter too.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2013 2/II/13 - on tap @ Brugs Bierfestival 2013 - BB: n/a (2013-74)

Clear orange beer, very creamy fine off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit herbal, grassy hops, bit yeasty, sweet touch, very faint in all. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty herbal, malty touch, bit sugary, citrus, metallic. Aftertaste: little bitter, sugary, bit hoppy. Not as interesting as the other Hop Collection beers...
