3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Moderate hay for the malt, light to moderate lemongrass for the hops, moderate musty and soap for the yeast, with white wine in the background. Head is huge, frothy turning rocky, white with excellent lumpy lacing and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling yet slightly hazy at first, but muddies up on the last pour, light to medium amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic. Palate is medium, slick, with a fizzy carbonation. This Tripel is both tasty and a very Saison-ish

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Clear golden, slightly orange color. Thin off-white head. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Slightly slick. Finishes kind of dry, though it might be my palate. Caramel malt, some toffee, light spice, hints of fruit and banana. Some candy sugar. Moderate sweet taste, lightly spicy. A lot of caramel malt on this overall. Not that interesting. OK belgian tripel. Maybe it could be fresher, I don’t know.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Looks solid; a little thin though. A completely transparent gold with thin white lacing. Smells solid; sweet malt with more hops on the nose than most Tripels. I get honey notes too. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as hoppy. Solid on the palate. A little thin, but with a pleasant bitterness that balances what would otherwise be a sweet backbone.
