A very plain tripel. Orange/tan, small head, low carb for style. Faint glue/ethylene/DMS + malt and coriander in nose, but not much aroma at all. Marmalade and malt in flavour, dry, quick finish. Boring beer, but not as tinny as the steenberge sort of tripels.

From 750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased in McCall, Idaho. Pours a cloudy orange color with a robust white head that settles slowly leaving good lacing. Nose is full of fruit aromas with plenty of orange, lemons, apple, plums, grapefruits, and belgian yeast with hints of sweet spices. The body is fairly rich and the mouthfeel is lively. The flavor has a caramel malt profile balanced with some distinct bitterness, plenty of spice, noticeable alcohol, and lots of interesting and hard to identify favors from the yeast. The finish is dry and bitter with the fruit nuances hanging of for a long while. A very nice tripel and just the ticket for a cold winter night.

330 ml. bottle. Pours a huge, lasting, off white head, with attractive lacing, over heavily particled, hazy, gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is clove, coriander, caramel, bit of hop spice....taste is initially slightly sweet malts, with slight toffee, later clove, pineapple tones arrive, finishing mild bitterness.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation medium to high. This is more of a Belgian Golden Ale in style than a Triple, but it is drinkable and a very nice beer.

Pours a honey color with lots of lace. Slight vinegar aroma with some sugars. Tastes of brown sugar, some sour, with a slight bitter citrus finish.

Corked bottle.
Pours a deep, thick cheddar orange with a beautiful, white sudsy head of foam that leaves attic spider webs on the side of the glass. Aroma is a sweet honey and hops tempered by a modest bready note and a slight hint of alcohol. Flavor is a musty-sweet bread with bits of lemon and peach. Thin on the tongue and the flavor fades quickly. A nice tripel that lives up to its claim of a "nightcap" beer. Recommended, especially for a cold night by the fire.

What a huge letdown after paying $14.99. I have over the past few years become a huge fan of tripels and in fact, if I were no so lazy, I would probably change my favourite style to tripel. This one poured darker then I have seen in the style and then was just a complete weak mess. Great lacing but no spice or even a hint of heat. If I had paid $8.99, then maybe higher marks, but this was BS.

750ml bottle. Pours a murky golden color with a foamy white head that settles unevenly leaving good lacing. Smell has lots of fruity scents oranges, lemons, apples and belgian hops with traces of sweet spices. Taste has a sweet malt profile balanced with some nice bitterness, spice, hint of alcohol, and yeast. Apples and citrus provide the fruity textures. Quite dry overall, with the fruity quality lasting more than other flavors. Over all, a pretty good tripel.
