3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I am nearly orgasmic about this beer. I generally keep my distance Belgians but this one seems to have the right mix of lemony aroma without too much fruit, a nice 2-finger head, a complex palate dominated by fruity overtones and a lingering bitterness with some sense of the high alcohol content. .

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy muddled gold with a thin rocky white head. Aged for over a year, not 100% sure how long, but it’s definitely been aged. Aromas of apricot and wheat but without so much sweetness. A bit of gently oxidised malty belgian blonde malt on the aroma too. Swell flavor with a big bold belgian blonde malt biscuitiness, toast, barn hay (but without any saison like esters), a bit muddled overall but it lends a nice chewy fullness to a gently boozy, well aged trippel.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is golden blonde colored and pours a stable and compact white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is a nice palate of malts, citrus fruits and orange peels but also with a nice spicy bitterness. The taste is medium bodied and is pleasantly bitter with spicy and malty notes. In the background there is a light sweetness with citrus fruits and banana notes. The finish is malty and changes into a sweet hop bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Honey color, strong foam head. Aroma reminds of IPA: pineapple, lychee, dried lemon, hint of yeast. Taste is a very agreeable, quite refreshing blend. Exotic fruits, pine, lemon, all mixed with a very agreeable tripel taste. Slightly fruity, sticky aftertaste. Not bad.
