Oh good Lord is this ever a fantastic nightcap of a beer. I like ’em sweet and big this certainly is both! Appearance: Cloudy orange body with lot of carbonation. Smell: Citrusy orange, yeast and honey. Taste: Apples and plums and beady and honey and so much sharp sugar character. I only got to sample it and I got all that. I NEED more of this beer!!! ARRG! I will get this beer again and write more but I have to tell you, this one is terrific, with its nice dry pucker inducing finish. mmm. Mouthfeel: effervescent and creamy but dry in the end. Drinkability: This is certainly a nightcap not a session beer. That said it is mighty tasty and goes down very easily. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!

12 oz bottle Malt of The Earth Beer club. Pours a semi hazy copper with a large foamy head. Nose is complex spicey and has lots of Blegian yeast, bananna, wheat, vanilla, pepper. Taste is just like the aroma with a very fizzy bananna, cinamon & pepper finish. A refreshing and tastey drink.

Slaapmutske Tripel is a fine strong Belgian pale ale, but one should sip it! Nice and thick, not too much carbonation, sweet and flavourful. But what’s this? A strong hop bitterness? Rather impressive that, I thought. It gives it a nice edge. Yes, this is quite hoppy, and the hoppiness results in a pleasing balance. Quite delightful!

Not too much aroma, and interestingly enough has less spice than a saison I just had before this. A good tripel, just not great.

bottle. pours a deep hazy orange with a huge 3 finger white fluffy head. This comes down to a quarter inch throughout... wonderful spice, pepper, lemon and yeast aromas. medium body over the palate with spices, light citrus fruits as well as banana. nice finish that really highlights the complexity behind the various flavors.

Dobre drożdżowo-słodowe piwo, ze sporym nagazowaniem ale tylko po przelaniu, w piciu nie przeszkadza i nie przytłacza. Piana obfita i wysoka. Kolor złoto miedziany i mętny

750 ml bottle into chalice, best before 3/2/2014. Pours lightly cloudy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice rocky cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a nice amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pear, apricot, apple, golden raisin, lemon zest, candi sugar, honey, bread, clove, pepper, herbal, and earthy yeast esters. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of fruity, spicy, and malt notes. Taste of pear, apricot, apple, golden raisin, lemon zest, candi sugar, clove, pepper, bread, honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, candi sugar, clove, bread, pepper, honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity and spicy esters with malt sweetness; and nearly zero cloying sweetness present after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a fairly slick, smooth, and lightly prickly that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with hardly any warming noticed at all after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent tripel style. Great balance and complexity of malt, fruity, and spicy flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle at Beer on the Pier brought by Shelton Bros. Citrus, somewhat tart aroma. Hazy, dark gold body with a good-sized, creamy/frothy white head and excellent lace. Higher alcohol profile. Rich, clearly Belgian, pretty carbonated, malty. A solid brew, although perhaps a little too dry, which is a bit of a surprise given the 8.1% ABV.
